When Daniel (Did You Remember The Cat director) approached us with the idea of an animated credit sequence for Did You Remember The Cat I (Meridian, animated sequence director) remember being really excited about the idea of showing what Mr. Whiskers was doing alone in a haunted house while our two main characters were away. I wanted people to point to the screen and laugh, "That's so my cat."

Our Art Director and I worked together to create a production design that called back to the watercolor motifs we saw in old Disney animated films like 101 Dalmations - but send it through an acid trip of horror slasher fun. It was important to us that the end product be hand drawn to keep the integrity of our studio's mission to bring back 2D nostalgia with an updated effect of flat backgrounds moving in 3D space.
